Changing a battery

I told you that I had ordered a battery for my Macbook Air. I ordered it on Ebay, and to my untrained eye, it looked genuine. and I saved a lot of money by doing this myself. I went to the Norwegian version of the Apple store before Christmas, as my mac had developed some interesting features like overheating, hanging and making weird noises. The guy there told me that it was because the battery was going bad and that the mac used a lot of energy trying to connect to the bad battery, hence the overheating.

The price for getting them to service and change the battery for me was so ridiculously high that I took out my savings and bought a new MacBook Pro. Yes, this might seem a little counter-productive, but the savings was for a new mac for me to write my master thesis on anyways, and I could not risk a bad mac taking my work with it if it were to die completely. (As my previous MacBook Pro actually did.)

The new mac I only use for schoolwork, but when I am at home, I am always on my computer. It is even on at night, playing audiobooks for me. So I really had to fix that as well. This is not a tutorial, just a post to tell you that it is possible to do this yourself, with the proper research. And to show you how much dust a MacBook gathers in a two year period...

So here:
